What Happened?
The release was scheduled for a week ago, but that has obviously passed, and here is an update. My priority became creating a manual which was completed last week. The manual is located under the support tab, or you go directly HERE.
The manual is very detailed about the use of the new indicators. The new indicator package shows live order flow relationships, which is something that I have never seen before.
The programmer returned the distribution zip file while I was creating the manual. When I went to install this on my laptop, a NinjaTrader error occurred. Without getting too in the weeds, a variable was re-used in 1 new indicator that was in the original V1 version of the indicator.
What was strange is that error should have occured on my trading computer, but didn’t, which is why it was missed and passed production. So a new version of that indicator was created and sent to the programmer. But then this happened.
Data Collection
One of the main features of the new indicators is their compatibility with BloodHound. So I started collecting 6 months of data from all of the data plots to let AI analyze for patterns and create the new BloodHound template. In comes problem number 2.
While analyzing the data, the AI determined that there was a problem in the output of the historical data. The safest way to handle the problem was to create 7 new helper files for BloodHound. You will unfortunately see these files in the indicator tree, but you will not be putting them on a chart. The indicator will automatically use the helper.
Problem 3. Additionally there was a “bug” found in the way NinjaTrader handles things when there are 2 data series on a chart. Because of this issue BloodHound plots were originally left out of 1 of the indicators. When I realized that these plots were needed, but the secondary data series information (which made the plots unuseable) were not needed, this resulted in needing to rewrite that indicator.
So The Indicators are Close
It has now already taken 3 days to rewrite and test the new version. That will probably be validated and certified tomorrow. Once the indicator is finished, I can again begin to compile the distribution file. The data collection and new BloodHound template file can not be finished until the new indicator is finished. That’s the bad news. Ready for some good news??
This may be a little hard to see relationships in the lower panel, but they are very good, and they appear to lead a apex turn. You should be able to open the image and download to see it better. It has 2 values, the Breadth and the Pressure. Similar to the Tick Context filter the background will change colors based on the relationship between the 2 values. That work is in progress now.
What you are looking for is where $TICK is living, below or above the zero line. Second, are they rising or falling? Third and more important, where is the blue in relationship to the orange line.
So I am not going to delay the distribution of the new indicators while this development is finished. This version is ES specific, but I am going to create an NQ version also. This will be a download from the website when it is ready.
